In mid 2004 it was decided that Columbus needed a chapter of the AGA which was federally focused to complement the State & Local focused Central Ohio Chapter.

Our chapter includes professionals from federal, state, and local government agencies, higher education institutions, and private-sector accounting and consulting firms that support public financial management.

• 52 Chapter members • 13 CGFMS • Strong representation from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS – Columbus) and other Department of Defense entities, along with the State of Ohio and local governments in the Columbus region, and firms including KPMG, Deloitte, EY, and Kearney & Company

Our History
In mid 2004 it was decided that Columbus needed a chapter of the AGA which was federally focused to complement the State & Local focused Central Ohio Chapter. A core group of seven individuals stepped forward to organize the Greater Columbus Chapter. Our chapter had its first monthly luncheon in October 2004 and was officially chartered in December 2004. The first panel of elected Officers was installed in February 2005.
